representing one of the most significant iron ore mining operations in the world. Located in Guinea, this project is poised to become a leading supplier of high-quality iron ore, contributing to global iron production and supporting sustainable industrial growth.
Location
- The Kalia mine is situated in Guinea, approximately 360 km from the capital city, Conakry.
Mineral Resources
- Hematite Ore: The project includes 1 billion tonnes of Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) hematite, capable of producing iron ore with 58% Fe content in fast-track production mode.
- Magnetite Ore: It also contains 4 billion tonnes of magnetite ore, which can produce iron concentrate with 67% Fe content after beneficiation.

The Kalia project is expected to create significant economic benefits, including the creation of 44,000 jobs and substantial contributions in taxes and royalties to the Guinean government.
